Festival Events
Crossing The Street
The opening ceremony of Louder Than A Bomb brings all participants, coaches and mentors together to meet each other and feel the YCA community. Students generally participate in workshops led by special guest performance artists. Coaches generally have the option of participating in professional development led by YCA staff members. This event is mandatory for all registered participants.
High School Team Slam
The marquee event of LTAB showcases original poetry from high school teams who are put in a series of preliminary bouts and judged on a scale of 1-10 by members of the general public. The top 16 teams advance to semi finals and compete for a spot on the finals stage.

Emcee Olympics
The Emcee Olympics gives 16 emcees the opportunity to showcase their lyrical skills in three rounds of prompted battles. Open to the public. Signups are on a first come, first serve basis.
College Slam
Similar to the High School Slam, the college slam gives college aged poets the opportunity to compete in team and individual rounds of competition.
Individual Slam
Indy slam provides high school aged students without a team the opportunity to compete as individuals in a tournament style slam.
