Young Chicago Authors' Men As Allies program is an internship program for young men to create and submit artwork, writing and other media that focuses on deconstructing the prototypes of representations of men of color through media. We believe it's these images that help shape the greater societal views of men and how men acknowledge women and/or their societal issues. The prototypes deconstructed will be: James Evans Sr. / Heathcliff Huxtable / The Man / JJ Evans / Rico Suave / Hombre – Esq.
