“The Body” by Bernadette Levi

Journeying through hell and purgatory
Legs long like the series that should be a short story
Body
Streaming upward to my belly
Flat and famished from the hunger of wanting
Temple
Yearning written all over a pretty face for something beauty cannot give you
Sacred
Reversing downward back to my toes, see, they’ve walked through the desert of demons but only recognize the valley of angels
Mind
My arms flow, passion seeps through fingertips as they dance close body contact with pen and paper.
