Girls Write Now is an awesome organization based in New York that encourages literacy and creative writing in young women from around the city. This mural is the result of a collaboration of girls who participate in the Girls Write Now programming. Led by high school students Carmen Li and Xiao Zhang, the mural represents themes the girls wrote about throughout the year, including Home, Leaving, Flying, Pride, Forgiveness, and Home Again.
