Prewriting: Make a list of what you would include in a survival kit if you were going to be lost at sea.
Prompt: Consider the practices you refer to or hope to implement when bad times strike a “survival kit” of sorts. Write a poem detailing how you stay afloat and what you hold on to amidst the storms and waves of life. Try to use some physical items from your list as a point of comparison.
