The Chicago All-City Open Mic is a quarterly event presented by YCA and the Chicago Public Library, amplified by Kuumba Lynx, the John Walt Foundation and studioSHAPES. These open mics feature performances by Chicago youth and local featured artists, and serve as a standing opportunity for young people to tell their stories on stage, and connect with other poets and writers from across the city. Each open mic includes a writing workshop, performances of original work, and opportunities to listen to artists of all genres and skill levels. The All-City Open Mic is a responsive space that centers creativity, community, and expression.
