J.I (Prince of New York), “Quiet Storm (Freestyle)”

Quiet storm is a tribute to Prince of New York’s cousin that passed away when he was really young. He mentions, “The first time I met my cousin he was in a casket I was kinda young at that time I ain’t understand what happened”. He discusses growing up poor and people telling him he wouldn’t be anything.

But he proved them wrong when he was selected to be 1 of 5 rappers featured on “The Rap Game”, with Jermaine Dupri at the age of 14. After this song was released he received a huge shout out from Mobb Deep for killing the remix of their song. Now at the age of 15, he has music on iTunes and just got off of Tour with Jermaine Dupri and other rappers from past seasons of the Rap Game.

Nova ft. Ekko & Lexy, “Wide Awake”

Wide Awake is a song, sung by a family group from Reading, PA. One of the artist, Nova won Season 3 of “ The Rap Game” and was selected to be 1 of 5 rappers on the Rap Game at the age of 16. In this song, Nova and his family talks about how people tried to break them down in the past but now they’re on the top doing their family thing. Also how all eyes are on them cause they got people, “Wide Awake“. Ekko, his uncle, is a rapper also from the Reading area and Lexy, his older sister, is a singer. Growing up in Reading was hard because he had to live in a homeless shelter for a little bit after his mother was going through a bad relationship. Nova’s uncle eventually took his family in. When Nova was on the Rap Game it opened doors for him to be noticed. Now at the age of 17, Nova has multiple songs on SoundCloud and on iTunes.

Miss Mulatto, “No More Talking”

No More Talking is a song by 17 year old Miss Mulatto from Atlanta, GA. She was the very first rapper to win Season 1 of “The Rap Game”. Miss Mulatto talks about she made it by herself and how she doesn’t let any of these rappers get to her because she’s the baddest out here. “ My mama told me, she gave birth to a star, I was like the light in the dark”. When she was younger, Miss Mulatto was torn down a lot because she was biracial and called Mulatto. She turned that name into something positive and is outshining everything in her past. Now Miss Mulatto is 18 and she has an album out on iTunes and a few songs on SoundCloud. She also finished touring with Jermaine Dupri and other rappers from past seasons in the Rap Game.
